Wine tasting at Franciscan and Merryvale, you know the drill: swirl, sniff, taste…blah, blah, blah.

Dean and Deluca
Pistachio Pate
With “chicken and pork pate with chicken livers, pistachios, eggs, Sauternes wine, and cracked black pepper”

Oakville Grocery
Venison Pate
With “venison, pork, and duck with apricots, hazelnuts, and Burgundy wine”

Elissa and I decided that Dean and Deluca’s pate was much better…but I’m pretty sure they were both made by the same charcuterie in Hayward, CA. (Fabrique Delices)

  • speaking of tasty paté Mark…i just thought i’d let you know i’ll be dining at port washington’s finest eatery (in my humble opinion) and indulging on the paté in about t-minus 48 hours. enjoy the crab feed tonight, make me proud.

  • thanks for the linky love, very cool posts and well shot photos. What did you think of Merryvale? I like them simply because they are one of the few wineries who agreed to donate a case for a cause once upon a time…
