I decided to combine my hobbies to create an informative blog with (sometimes) pretty pictures. I am a Wisconsin transplant living in The East Bay trying to experience all things culinary in Northern California. Along with cooking, I love running, golfing, and photography, mainly Holga and alternative processes.

Yo! I like the blog (particularly nice touch with the lyric/poem piece). Didn’t know you pursued hobbies with such vigor when not being a mild mannered educator. How about a nod to WNY with a post on onion varieties or beef on weck?
I am in agreement with Katherine, especially in regards to the interest in seeing an exposé on onions.

Cyrus: I always like a good guest lecture…
Hemauer,
I generally side on the side of not being interested in blogs…but I am developing them often for my schooling and considering utilizing them in my classroom this coming semester (with 9th graders)…
That being said, I LOVE cookbooks – I am a huge fan of the culinary world and your pictures are honestly worthy of any Mario Batali, Jamie Oliver or Bobby Flay cookbook.
If you haven’t already, submit your work to Food & Wine or Taste or Gourmet magazine . . . or even to a publisher. This is really good stuff.
Love, Joe
i have finally rejoined the wired world tonight and read your blog (and actually worked on my article, miracles do happen)…very nice my friend.
question: will this dedication keep up during baseball. fact: ?…i hope so. keep up the good work.
